FSUC Executive Director Lisa Bildy: “Four years after [Dr. Joshua Gordon’s] complaint was filed, the tribunal ruled, without a hearing, that his beliefs were not grounded in a cohesive and recognized political philosophy and that there was no reasonable prospect of success. This is the philosophy that shaped the modern West. But it’s apparently not one that the tribunal, or SFU, recognizes.”

May 2026: BC Mother Seeks Court Hearing After Ban Over Opposing School Land Acknowledgements.

As FSUC Executive Director Lisa Bildy prepares to file for a petition for judicial review in B.C. Supreme Court, the argument will centre on alleged Charter violations by way of compelling political and ideological speech in a public institution. 

April 2026: The Federal Liberals are Floating the Idea.

In particular, Canadian Heritage Minister Marc Miller told reporters “It’s clear that a ban or a moratorium on social media by kids, who we do need to protect, can be an important element…”, and that it was “very seriously” looking at the idea. A quick query, how are you going to do this?

March 2026: An Adult Female.

A decision, by the City of Hamilton, to deny a bus shelter advert by the Christian Heritage Party of Canada was upheld at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Hamilton says it has a City policy of providing “a safe and welcoming transit system” and cited a ‘study’ linking negative transgender-related media messages and adverse mental health outcomes.
